What replaces office picture manager in office 2013?

The Office Picture Manager has been a very quick and easy tool to use, built into Office and readily available no matter what machine I have to use.  I would rather not have to install 3rd party software to do what MS has made easy to do in the past.

Any word on what this app is called now and where it's hidden in the Office 2013 install?

The best workaround I've found is to use the free SharePoint Designer 2010 to bootstrap the MS Office Picture Manager.

You can get the SharePoint Installer from this post:

Then, for more detailed instructions, you can follow the Guide Here:

The short version is to run the installer.  

Then choose "Customize" instead of "Install Now".  

Then deselect everything that's not "Office Tools" > "Microsoft Office Picture Manager"

Hey John,

You are correct that Office Picture Manager was removed from the suite. Inside programs such as PowerPoint and Word there are still editing tools. You also have Windows Live Photo Gallery which I feel is a much more program specific picture editing tool. Hopefully the small change does not effect your trial of the Next Microsoft Office.

    MS decide where we must go, what we must use, what to do with our lifes.

    They aren't alone to do that, but all of them will stop if they see all of people going away, using other soft, ...You can use Photofiltre for example to define and apply modifications on a lot of picture files.

    But P. Mger was more simple and sufficient for most of our needs...

    Okay...  I have 280 photographs in HD 4000x2000 or so format... I need to rename all of them to COURTHOUSE-001 through COURTHOUSE-280 and set the size to 800x600 from JPG to PNG format.

    HOW do I do that as a BATCH from Windows Live Photo Gallery???

    I do it in Picture manager in about 4 clicks...

    John, I realize that you may have to compromise your ethics in some fashion to work for Microsoft, but gee wiz, Windows Live Photo Gallery?  Come on, offering this as a replacement is just unethical.
