What replaces office picture manager in office 2013?

The Office Picture Manager has been a very quick and easy tool to use, built into Office and readily available no matter what machine I have to use. I would rather not have to install 3rd party software to do what MS has made easy to do in the past.

Any word on what this app is called now and where it's hidden in the Office 2013 install?

The best workaround I've found is to use the free SharePoint Designer 2010 to bootstrap the MS Office Picture Manager.

The short version is to run the installer.

Then choose "Customize" instead of "Install Now".

Then deselect everything that's not "Office Tools" > "Microsoft Office Picture Manager"

Hey John,

You are correct that Office Picture Manager was removed from the suite. Inside programs such as PowerPoint and Word there are still editing tools. You also have Windows Live Photo Gallery which I feel is a much more program specific picture editing tool. Hopefully the small change does not effect your trial of the Next Microsoft Office.

Thanks, I was going to do the 2010 version this time. After restarting my computer, it then reverted to giving me the option for customized install.

Do I want to cancel all items BUT Picture Manager?

What's bad with installing the whole program?

SharePoint 2013 DOES NOT HAVE Picture Manager included !!!

People from Microsoft don't know the contents of their own software...

You need to download SharePoint 2010 version and you will find the program in Office Tools.

The same happened to me.

I will never get used to the despisal with which MS treats users by not hearing their opinions and by being so dictatorial with the decisions and changes.

Thanks Jerry, I downloaded Sharepoint2013 but didn't uncheck all but Picture Manager.

When it was done, I still didn't have Picture Manager.

So I uninstalled it and reinstalled. However, this go around it doesn't give me the option to customize the install, it automatically does the full file.

Either way, I don't seem to have Picture Manager afterward. Am I missing a step? I've reviewed the linked websites and don't see what I'm missing.

Must have something to do with the Sharepoint install... I followed the original instructions and had no issues. This is the set of instructions I followed...

It may have installed Picture Manager in another folder... on my machine I have 2 folders...
- Microsoft Office
- Microsoft Office 2013
Perhaps you have it... but in another folder.
