What replaces office picture manager in office 2013?

The Office Picture Manager has been a very quick and easy tool to use, built into Office and readily available no matter what machine I have to use.  I would rather not have to install 3rd party software to do what MS has made easy to do in the past.

Any word on what this app is called now and where it's hidden in the Office 2013 install?

The best workaround I've found is to use the free SharePoint Designer 2010 to bootstrap the MS Office Picture Manager.

You can get the SharePoint Installer from this post:

The short version is to run the installer.  

Then choose "Customize" instead of "Install Now".  

Then deselect everything that's not "Office Tools" > "Microsoft Office Picture Manager"

Hey John,

You are correct that Office Picture Manager was removed from the suite. Inside programs such as PowerPoint and Word there are still editing tools. You also have Windows Live Photo Gallery which I feel is a much more program specific picture editing tool. Hopefully the small change does not effect your trial of the Next Microsoft Office.

    Very bad decision to remove picture manager....

    Also having several other issues adapting to this, not quite sure where, what or why, but develpopment with vba in excel is painful with previous versions. I'm getting alot of little quirks and bugs.

    Personally I have now got used to Google's free Picasa tool.

    It's better than Picture Manager ever was but does take a bit of getting used to - e.g. to resize a picture you have to choose the export button which isn't obvious. However there are lots of tools, some of which are a waste of time for me but others will probably find useful.

    PicMonkey.com online editor makes it easy to resize a photo. And the program takes no disc space since it's online.  :-)

    I thought I couldn't live without Office Picture Manager, until I discovered PicMonkey.com online photo editor. Many of the features are completely free to use and it doesn't require any disc space since the program's online.  So easy to re-size, crop, dodge, burn, special effects, layers, rotate, flip - you name it, it can do it...easily!  You might be able to do everything you need with the many free features, but I pay $33 a year to use ALL the fabulous features. Check it out - you won't miss Picture Manager!
