What replaces office picture manager in office 2013?

The Office Picture Manager has been a very quick and easy tool to use, built into Office and readily available no matter what machine I have to use.  I would rather not have to install 3rd party software to do what MS has made easy to do in the past.

Any word on what this app is called now and where it's hidden in the Office 2013 install?

The best workaround I've found is to use the free SharePoint Designer 2010 to bootstrap the MS Office Picture Manager.

You can get the SharePoint Installer from this post:

Then, for more detailed instructions, you can follow the Guide Here:

The short version is to run the installer.  

Then choose "Customize" instead of "Install Now".  

Then deselect everything that's not "Office Tools" > "Microsoft Office Picture Manager"

Hey John,

You are correct that Office Picture Manager was removed from the suite. Inside programs such as PowerPoint and Word there are still editing tools. You also have Windows Live Photo Gallery which I feel is a much more program specific picture editing tool. Hopefully the small change does not effect your trial of the Next Microsoft Office.

    Hey Microsoft;

    The Windows Live Photo Gallery is way too de-featured to be a replacement for MS Office Picture Manager for me. I am reverting back to Office 2010.

    For crying out loud, all I want to do is crop a damn photo by the numbers, clipping a pixel at a time. I can't believe that capability would be removed for any reason, but it has. Does no one think of these things when working on software?

    For certain pictures on a website, I need them to be 562 x 413 pixels. Amazing that the photo editors now included in Office 2013 are incapable of that.

    Damn...one would think the MS 8 would be better the more I use it the more **** it seems and harder to use....I m glad I rented the PC but am keen to move to Apple now...I feel like such a **** getting MS Office and MS regular non office suite...Why would one go to Powerpoint tilt and crop pics etc ?

    Sadly the answer above does not fix the problem...
