What replaces office picture manager in office 2013?

You keep giving the same answer, probably the one you are told to give... yes, I know all the tricks inside word, publisher etc..... but all the functions inside MS Picture Manager are not there.  The replacement software you force us to use ... unless you really know how to manipulate your settings.. is rubish and it has taken me a long time, but **I have Windows 8 w/ Office 13 and HAVE downloaded MS PICTURE MANAGER - there IS A WAY to do it... you just are not allowed to tell the public!!!!   - I HAVE MADE MS Picture manager  MY DEFAULT APPLICATION TO OPEN ALL PHOTOS AS WELL.  I have ALSO downloaded ADOBE ACROBAT - a tool you now default to your own version of a "reader" that you can do nothing with... so now EVERYTHING I OPEN - no longer opens in YOUR reader - it OPENS in my version of ADOBE.**I had to work very hard to find solutions to obtain the tools that I need to work.  And it is NOT about learning new tools.  I can use the new features just fine and actually like some... but you've taken away my bread and butter so-to-speak.  So with hours and hours of research and manipulation of settings I now have a computer that is reasonably useful.  BUT MS IS GOING THE WAY OF THE BLACKBERRY... OR I HOPE SO... and i hate to say that because I never wish anything bad on anyone..... BUT WHAT MS HAD DONE TO THEIR CONSUMER IS CRIMINAL.. IT IS A SCAM.  I hope you have gathered enough info from Windows 8 and office 13 to earn enough $ to make up for all the loss in business that will come.  Computer sales down 9% - experts and economists report that MS 8 has been the leading cause of the loss of sales.  Stores everywhere and companies such as HP are discontinuing laptops w/ Windows 8 - MS should be ashamed of themselves.  I was able to manipulate my tech enough because I had hours to do so.. and a little bit of know how... what about those that don't.  Ask your "powers that be" if they can come up with a better and honest answer for you to give to people in this forum.  Your answer is disingenuous, and deceptive.  and you are a representative of MS!  End users that have limited experience and those with more experience can see through this poor excuse for an answer and a blatant disregard for your clients needs and an insult to us.

First it was photo editor, now picture manager!!!!!!!  Typical MS - don't worry about folk who want to use a COMPUTER as a COMPUTER.  Now its all about "Multi media".  Photo gallery is fine if all you want to do is organize your photos but if you want to edit and manipulate them (cropping, resizing etc.) IT IS RUBBISH.

Microsoft have a remarkable knack of taking the programs you REALLY want and use and replace them with second rate rubbish.

Mind you, in my opinion Windows 8 is basically rubbish.  Not even a start menu, just some sort of annoying multimedia page full of media and stock reports that I am not in the slightest interested in but no "search function", no links directly to my programs, no direct access to control panel.  Now I have to manually and tediously search via "desktop assist" and then pin EVERYTHING to the task bar.  To me the start page is not just useless but annoying and lacking in functionality for someone who is using the machine for WORK.  Its all about play.

Ultimately I will have to look for an alternative OS.

Well done MS.  Every day in every way you work hard - and succeed - in confirming my opinion first formed in the mid 1980's that you are a cancer on the computing industry. Putting your interests above those of the people who pay you and use your increasingly rubbish systems

That is great if you still have the disc or if you have not already exceeded downloads... also it is great if it is compatible with your operating system.  For those that are not lucky enough to fall into this... and if you read the forums... several forums of office and windows.... you will see that soooo many people do not fall under this.  So.. I posted a real solution on how you can download it free from MS ... I don't have the info in front of me, just look for my posts - NV Nikki
