The Office Picture Manager has been a very quick and easy tool to use, built into Office and readily available no matter what machine I have to use. I would rather not have to install 3rd party software to do what MS has made easy to do in the
past.
Any word on what this app is called now and where it's hidden in the Office 2013 install?
Thanks!
Microsoft has made several bad decisions with Office 2013. The lack of Picture Manager is one of them. Windows Live Photo Gallery has feature gaps, as does Word and PowerPoint - compared to Picture Manager. Removing functionality from a product suite will
only promote users to stay on the current platform and will help competitors like Google who are looking to jump on Microsoft's mistakes.
Let MS know how you feel by going into a photo / edit area in PowerPoint or Word - selecting the smiley in the top toolbar and sending them a big frown regarding the lack of Picture Manager. That form of feedback works for all of the areas of Office that
you find feature gaps, or things you like.
I can't agree more. I keep finding these little and very frustrating gaps in Windows 8, this is just another example of disregard for loyal customers, add the inability to move outlook contacts, calendar, notes and emails to the new system, etc., the list
goes on and seems intentional.
Cheers
