What replaces office picture manager in office 2013?

The Office Picture Manager has been a very quick and easy tool to use, built into Office and readily available no matter what machine I have to use.  I would rather not have to install 3rd party software to do what MS has made easy to do in the past.

Any word on what this app is called now and where it's hidden in the Office 2013 install?

The best workaround I've found is to use the free SharePoint Designer 2010 to bootstrap the MS Office Picture Manager.

You can get the SharePoint Installer from this post:

Then, for more detailed instructions, you can follow the Guide Here:

The short version is to run the installer.  

Then choose "Customize" instead of "Install Now".  

Then deselect everything that's not "Office Tools" > "Microsoft Office Picture Manager"

Hey John,

You are correct that Office Picture Manager was removed from the suite. Inside programs such as PowerPoint and Word there are still editing tools. You also have Windows Live Photo Gallery which I feel is a much more program specific picture editing tool. Hopefully the small change does not effect your trial of the Next Microsoft Office.

    Wow, someone asked for help about how to get a program that works as well as Picture Manager and your response is to use Photo Gallery? I am flabbergasted at the ignorance of that response. Photo Gallery is a little more than a photo viewer and Picture Manager allows managing and editing large amounts of photos. Obviously, Microsoft did not realize how valuable this program is to many people that have large amounts of jpgs and need to edit them. If it ends up that I must spend money on a picture managing and editing program after I have already purchased Office, you can bet Microsoft will NOT be getting any of my money.

    Let me tell you ... it is a lot worse than that ... I accidently left my laptop open and MS 10 started to download on it's own ... I "denied" rather than accepted once my work was inturupted for over an hour .... I DID NOT GIVE MY PERMISSION FOR THIS ... Microsoft Does NOT CARE about it's customers.

    Sell your MS stock .... they are so yesterday .... 

    Someone will come up with something for serious people trying to get real work done. 

    I just lost about 2 hours because of the Auto this and Auto that ... and I spent about 5 hours altering Windows 8 so I could get the functionality I need to get real work done.  That was way back when ... no wonder Windows prior to 2008 are selling on the black market so to speak for so much .... 

    I DID get MS picture Manager on my Windows 8 ... wish I could tell you how .. but I forget ... it was a while ago.  I posted it but it was a couple of years ago ... soooo.... if I find it again I'll let you know ... I use it almost every day .... couldn't live without it... it is so quick and works so well w/ Adobe and Web building etc...

    I HAVE A REAL PROBLEM WITH MS....  monopoly ... enslave us ... then use us and take from us ... we are fools .... this is the way of the world but a rebellion to this type of thing is happening all over ...
