What replaces office picture manager in office 2013?

The Office Picture Manager has been a very quick and easy tool to use, built into Office and readily available no matter what machine I have to use.  I would rather not have to install 3rd party software to do what MS has made easy to do in the past.

Any word on what this app is called now and where it's hidden in the Office 2013 install?

The best workaround I've found is to use the free SharePoint Designer 2010 to bootstrap the MS Office Picture Manager.

You can get the SharePoint Installer from this post:

The short version is to run the installer.  

Then choose "Customize" instead of "Install Now".  

Then deselect everything that's not "Office Tools" > "Microsoft Office Picture Manager"

Hey John,

You are correct that Office Picture Manager was removed from the suite. Inside programs such as PowerPoint and Word there are still editing tools. You also have Windows Live Photo Gallery which I feel is a much more program specific picture editing tool. Hopefully the small change does not effect your trial of the Next Microsoft Office.

    What a bad decision.  Picture manager was such a simple program.  I too used it all the time.  Now to use Word or PowerPoint?  What a clunky decision.  Great Job!  You know what, at least picture manager was in my right click.  I don't see Word or Power Point there when I right click on a picture.  You want us to use something else and make it more difficult to do it.  Way to go.  Maybe my next care will have the drivers seat facing backwards too.  You can still drive your car but let's make it more difficult.

    I  agree.  I contacted Geek Squad support (great!) and they installed Photo Gallery to serve as my default software for JPEG file  printing.

    Hi Linda, would love to explain to you how; but unable to due to no picture manager.

    I have been an avid MS follower since back in MSDOS. All the way up to now, I have used every single version of Office. Office 2013 / Office 365 has killed it. I will not go past 2010, because of the items they change or remove. I am a huge fan of Office Picture Manager, best thing I ever used.
