What replaces office picture manager in office 2013?

The Office Picture Manager has been a very quick and easy tool to use, built into Office and readily available no matter what machine I have to use.  I would rather not have to install 3rd party software to do what MS has made easy to do in the past.

Any word on what this app is called now and where it's hidden in the Office 2013 install?

The best workaround I've found is to use the free SharePoint Designer 2010 to bootstrap the MS Office Picture Manager.

You can get the SharePoint Installer from this post:

Then, for more detailed instructions, you can follow the Guide Here:

The short version is to run the installer.  

Then choose "Customize" instead of "Install Now".  

Then deselect everything that's not "Office Tools" > "Microsoft Office Picture Manager"

Hey John,

You are correct that Office Picture Manager was removed from the suite. Inside programs such as PowerPoint and Word there are still editing tools. You also have Windows Live Photo Gallery which I feel is a much more program specific picture editing tool. Hopefully the small change does not effect your trial of the Next Microsoft Office.

    Just as everyone here in the post, I am disappointed in the lack of Office Picture Manager.  I've got hundreds of photographs that I need to put into a photo frame.  I helps if I can resize all of the photos in one folder at the same time.  I am about to install the Photo Gallery as mentioned in one of the replies.  I think I have learned that the feature that I am looking for won't be found.

    Here is how those of us who have the disc install version still have accessed the Picture Manager program,   and once again, Thank you for helping solve this issue despite Microsofts' total lack of caring for our programming needs.

    My kid says go to Apple... all the perks none of the ****.... and no viruses..... I'm not going back to windows again... and having to pay each year over and over for the same program really makes me sick! Especially after running it for a year (after taking more than 3 months to get it to actually load on my machine and having to pay $100 FOR THEIR teck to go online with my computer for many hours to clean up the mess of trying to download WIn 8 caused on my new laptop... ) it still does not run correctly and my desk top is so slow I have to power it up 2 hours before I want to do anything... all because Windows has to go through all its checking for up dates... and when I'm done it is Itunes that I don;t use that is blocking my using the programs... only word excell that I need to .... and half the times these don;t want to work.....

    SO I too am looking for some alternative! ANd don't get me started on printers... you can't even put the original disc and start a printer program and plun in the printer as the windows takes you off some where else.

    CLOUD! Who wants the frigging cloud?????? I don't need to share my documents with any one ... but you can't get rid of the frigging cloud.. and yes ... give me my start up menu back and not have to get shifted all around the place and not be able to move from one document/program to another with out going through 50 steps!

    I HATE Windows 8.... never going to download Windows 8.1!
