exporting contacts FROM Outlook 365

I've worked as a computer consultant for 20 years. I have to say that Office 365 is the LEAST user friendly product I've ever seen. Impossible to do do simply things that in other products are intuitive. Right now I'm trying to export my contact list. When I search on this topic all the examples say something like go to OUTLOOK -> FILE --> OPTIONS --> ADVANCED.   After an hour of searching I dont find anything in outlook that says file . I find options but not Advanced and nothing else that leads to exporting

Hi Steve,

I will assist you with the query you have in exporting contacts from Outlook 365.

You may follow the steps below to Export the Outlook contacts:

Open Outlook, click File, Open and export and then click Export to a file.

Once you are in the import\Export window follow the on screen instructions to export the items from Outlook.

If you want to import the data into Outlook, then you may refer to the direction mentioned in the link below:

Note: Instead of Import, you need to look for the Export option in the above link.

    I've been having the same problem.  The people that keep insisting that there is a file button are referring to the desktop version of Outlook 365.  You and I are using the Web App version of Outlook in our web browsers.  Unfortunately, I have looked for some time to find a way to export contacts and emails from the Web App version of Outlook, and there does NOT seem to be a way to do that.  The only solution I can surmise, then, would be to download a trial version of Microsoft Outlook onto your desktop and follow the instructions the other users in this forum have suggested.  I'll try that now and let you know if it works.

    You're right, i'referred to the desktop version. 

    I'm notvsure if it is a possible solution, but could it be done from the powershell ? Not the most elegant way to solve your problem I agree. Or as mentioned before, download a trial version of outlook and use that to export your contacts.

    I am the Admin of our company and need to export contacts from all of my users.  Has anyone been able to successfully figure out how to export contacts from this piece of junk software called Office 365?  I have been able to export MY contacts, but cannot get to any of my users' contacts.
