MS Word 2013 stops working with The Dragon Naturally Speaking version 12

Have upgraded from Windows 7 to Windws 8 and have thereafter installed the Office 2013 trial version on my HP Pavilion dv7 laptop. The Dragon Naturally Speaking version 12 works with MS Outlook as well as MS Excel however whenever I attempt to open MS Word i get a response Microsoft Word has stopped working: A problem caused te program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available. Please help me or inform me how long shall it take to provide the solution.

I shall try to assist you in related to your Word issue.

Verify if the ‘Dragon naturally speaking’ (Netspeak) add-in is enabled in Word application?

Try running the Word application as administrator by following the steps below

Right click on Word application and click ‘Run as admin’.

And follow the steps below to enable naturally speaking (add-in) in Word and check if it works fine.

Click on File, Options, Add-ins, and Click on ‘GO’ beside Manage – COM Add-ins and check the add-in option next to Netspeak and click OK

    I understand how difficult it is if Office application does not work as expected.

    Microsoft does not sell Office 2010 anymore.

    1. What is the exact error you use when you try to work with Dragon Naturally Speaking version?
    2.  Did you install the latest version of Dragon Naturally speaking add-in?
    3. Did you enabled the add-in?

    If you still find the same issue after enabling the add-in, for better suggestions related to the add-in issue you may have to get in touch with the add-in manufacturer.

    Dear Guys,

    Fact is "Dragon 12 will not work with Word 2013" - Great if someone can find a solution...

    Workaround is

    1. Upgrade to 12.5 from 12. Its free for Licensed user of Dragon
    2. Install word 2010 along with word 2013... Yes they can coexist and dragon works flawlessly on 2010.

    Tried both the options and both works just great...

    Hope this helps

    It's over 2 years later and we still have problems. Where are we supposed to get MS 2010?
