Outlook 2013: Inbox does not refresh after deleting an email

When I delete an email (or multiple emails) from my inbox, the inbox view does not refresh; the deleted emails are still there. I must move the inbox scroll bar to force a refresh. Even then, it leaves me at the start of the inbox, rather than at the current email.

Does anyone else have this problem? Does anyone have a solution? Or, is it a bug?

I have the inbox set to oldest on top/newest on the bottom.

Thanks,

Do you happen to have an update on this?  I have several users experiencing this issue as well.

A possible step forward, I've noticed this problem doesn't occur if I RDP to the client and click delete via the ribbon bar. This makes me think it could be a graphics driver issue, although I've tried new and old drivers to no avail.

    Can anyone else confirm this?

This is on a Dell Vostro 400 with Windows 7 x32, Outlook 2013 x32 and an ATI Radeon 2600 XT graphics card.

I had the same issue and found that you could delete emails properly using the delete key on the keyboard as other have found.

I managed to fix the issue by:

Open Outlook, File > Options > Customize Ribbon.

In the right hand pane, remove the “Delete” button from the Home (Mail) tab.

    Close Outlook and re-open Outlook.

File > Options > Customize Ribbon.

In the right hand pane, tick the Home (Mail) tab and remove tick for all other tabs

Click the Reset button drop-down menu

Select "Reset only the selected Ribbon tab"

This will add the Delete button back to the ribbon.

Now when you delete a email using the Delete button it should work properly.

This fix worked for me and may not necessarily work for others.

Thanks CeeGeeLee - that worked for me!

Edit - It turns out that I thought it worked, but it ended up not resolving the issue.

Went through this as described (removing the button form the ribbon, restarting and resetting the ribbon) but still no luck :(
