When I print or export to a PDF, the embedded Excel documents in my Publisher 2013 document do not have crisp, clear text. However exactly the same document under Office 2010 they look and print fine. I have an example of a PDF created from the same Publisher document, one in 2010 (on the left), one in 2013 (on the right) which I have uploaded that clearly demonstrate the issue. Is this a known bug, or a font issue with Office 2013? I work at a University where we have an enterprise licence for Office 2013 so are only just considering to roll it out to staff currently, but if this is an issue we will have to wait for a fix.

I would then have to take the pdf into Photoshop to make a jpg then insert as a picture. This would be a pretty silly solution for Microsoft.
Please fix this problem.
I agree with the previous writer. In MS 2010 a spreadsheet selection can be copied and pasted as a picture into a Publisher file which can then be re-sized to fit. In MS 2013 the end result is fuzzy and not suitable for print.
This is a major problem for the work I do. Please fix this feature!
I have been experiencing the same difficulties with printing a Publisher 2013 file to PDF, and having linked Excel Graphs in the Publisher file show up fuzzy on the PDF. I tried the hotfix, and also got the notification saying I don't have the product installed on my machine.
I found one work around that worked for me. Instead of printing, then selecting Adobe PDF or PrimoPDF, I used "save as", and saved it as a .pdf file. I got the instructions on how to do that here:
There are still a few little glitches with how the excel graphs display (mainly the colored shading within a cell may extend into another cell slightly), but the graphics are not fuzzy.

Are you saying that the picture of the chart exhibits the jaggies after converting to a PDF using Pub 2010, or are you saying that it develops the jaggies within Publisher after you close and reopen the Publisher file?
Assuming the second you might get better results if you save your Excel charts as 150 - 300 dpi .PNG images and then insert them into your Publisher page as a non-linked image at 100% scale.
You can try saving the chart as an image from Excel to your local drive, or if you have inserted it already into Publisher and it is not yet showing the 'jaggies', then select it > right click > save as a picture > choose 150 or 300 dpi .PNG and save the image to your local computer where you can find it. Then create a new picture box and insert that new PNG picture of your chart. Right click it again > format picture > Size tab > make sure the aspect ratio is locked and the scale is 100% or less.
While this image will not be linked and will need to be updated if you change the chart it should look better.

I have the same problem but in Publisher 2010. Have got linked Excel graphs and each time I close Publisher and reopen, all or some of my linked pie charts go fuzzy/blurry.
