Office 2013; office account signin feature 'disabled' after upgrade

I have just upgraded from Office 2010 Pro Plus to Office 2013 Pro Plus and none of the Office 2013 apps (including OneNote 2013) will connect to my skydrive account so I cannot access my OneNote notebooks and so on. I just see a window with the message 'This feature has been disabled by your administrator', however no group policy for Office or indeed anything else has been applied. What could be causing this failure?

Ok I resovled this issue but its a weird one and could be an issue with the upgrade from 2010.

I used procmon.exe to find out which reg keys outlook.exe was htting when I clicked the Sign In button (which triggered my issue) and found this was the key in question:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\15.0\Common\Internet:UseOnlineContent

UseOnlineContent was set to 0 (zero) and so I changed it to 1 (one) and after restarting my Office 2013 products I was able to sign in to Skydrive using them.

I hope this will be of help to anyone experiencing a similar problem.

    Thanks!  My O2013 corrupted, and I had to do a reinstall.  This regkey was changed to 0, so it kept looking for the key.  Adding a 1 let me logon with my MS account.

    Many thanks chrishudson77. I was having the exact same issue you described. My work account was locked in and there was no ability to sign into one drive from the open section as the icon did nothing.

    If I logged into OneDrive a tried to open the file from the web interface then OneNote opened but I got the message stating "Administrator has disabled this function"

    Your quick re fix solved this instantly and I can now sign in again!

    Though I am replying after nearly 2 years, I feel my response might help someone who was not able to resolve this.

    After making the following changes, it started to work for me:

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Office\15.0\common\general

    [optindisable] = 0

    [skydrivesigninoption] = 1

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Office\15.0\common\signin

    [signinoptions] = 1

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\15.0\Common\Internet

    [UseOnlineContent] = 2

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\15.0\Common\SignIn

    [signinoptions] = 1
