What happened to Pivot Table view in Access 2013?

So why have two teams? I agree SSMA is better than the previous Upsizing tool, so why not just replace the old upsizing tool with it and ship it with 2013 providing an add-in to start it up?

And the other obvious question - so why is the Access team so small? It shows a lack of commitment to mid range solution developers.

The concept that to be a developer you have to be into .Net is demeaning to many thousands who have made a living from developing useful solutions through VBA in Excel and Access.

Re removal of Upsizing Wizard: that one makes perfect sense to me: another team made a superior tool:

In most businesses you cannot afford to have two teams do the same thing. Combine forces and get the same or better in one tool, using only 1.1 times the investment. A no-brainer.

Oh, and another reason for shedding some bulk: given the slow pace of change/progress/regress (depending on your viewpoint) it appears the Access team is very small and just not able to deal with all competing interests.
