Office 2013 Professional offline help - how do I install it

I am with you there - I have used Office since it first came out (Still have office 98 on my shelf) and Office 2010 was great. The whole aspect of Office 2013 is disappointing and a real retrograde step.

• No help available even though I am on the internet
• The display of gray, white and washed out blue is awful and hard on the eye
• Buttons are no longer obvious or easy to find
• Viewing and managing email in outlook is just not acceptable
• Outlooks Contacts view is confusing as well as visually awful - It is now difficult to actually edit and manage contacts
• New features added are of little use to most users
• The features we lost were used by many users.

I would love to get Office 2010 to use with MS365 but that option was removed. I do not have the original disks and PID to revert unfortunately.

It is almost as if the mandate was to make this suite of applications as visually unattractive and difficult to use as possible. At least I can use Office 2011 on my Mac.

I have a Masters in computer Science from 1976 and have used most systems since - most users do not and I find that they are completely befuddled - one has refused to upgrade from Office 2003 as it does all she wants and more.

There may be a continuous internet connection between the user's computer and the Microsoft servers, in certain parts of North America, but that's not true in general. If anyone is listening, it should be assumed when designing software that there is poor or no internet connection on the user's computer.

Imagine when the first humans set of for Mars, and settle down with their laptops on the long journey to do some stuff, and their Office says "Please turn on your internet connection to continue".  I hope the world gets to see their disappointment. Minimum network latency of about 7 minutes (from Mars), and maximum about 44 minutes. No useful remote desktop or online help unless Uncle Bill figures out how to travel faster than light (in which case MS Office / Windows won't really be the priority in his business model anymore)

How about now? We're in the middle of November 2013. Are there any user-based (NOT developer) offline help file additions available now?

Having to go outside of the application to view help is just not acceptable and is totally unproductive.

Office 2013 has taken us back in time, the applications are slow, full of bugs and with frequent crashes, very frustrating for the casual users and downright offending to power users.

We just "upgraded" 300+ users to Office 2013 Plus, and am yet to find a single user the actually likes it.

The least that can be done is to allow integration of the downloadable help files with F1 help.
