Change Background color Theme Office 2013

Has anyone come up with how to Change the Color on the Office 2013 Them from "gray".  Microsoft has really not been user friendly with Windows 8 or Office 2013 in enabling the user to change their environment.

I think Microsoft does not read these forum questions.  Otherwise, some of the technical people would be contacting their customers to gain feedback.

I am extremely disappointed in the Office 13 and Win8 programs.

Anyone got any ideas?

Hi,

Thanks for posting in Microsoft Community. It is unfortunate that you are unable to locate the option in Office 2013 to change the theme of applications. Let me help you with the issue.

For the Office 2013 (RTM) version you may follow the below steps:

  1. Go to the File tab
  2. Click on Options
  3. Choose the General tab on the left
  4. Find the ‘O ffice Theme’ dropdown item
  5. Choose between White, Light Gray, and Dark Gray.

If you have Office 2013 preview version installed, then you have an option to change the background color by clicking on File, Options, General and under the group 'Personalize your copy of Microsoft Office', you may choose the background you wish to change to and click ok.

If you are using preview version of Office then you have a Smiley on the top right hand side of the application, you may click on it and send in your feedback.

I hope the above steps help. If you need any further assistance reply and we will be glad to assist you.

Thank you.

I don't answer to anyone within Microsoft.  I am not a Microsoft employee, simply a user of Microsoft products like yourself.  You're barking up the wrong tree.

So basically "YOU THINK YOU KNOW IT ALL" but in reality you just waste our time with TOTAL BS and dribble just like many other "Community Star" that post and repost the same useless dribble just for the points score and to look clever

SO HOW ABOUT YOU BE REALY HELPFULL, SEEING AS YOU THINK YOU KNOW EVERYTHING, AND AS I ASKED POST A LINK TO SOMEWHERE WHERE WE CAN COMPLAIN DIRECTLY TO MICORSOFT or is that beyond you expertise ??

This is the best suggestion so far, said nobody who had a working brain ever. You may have learned computing on an IBM 1620, but I think you also absorbed its personality and common sense. Such a great concept - "If you are dissatisfied with our [expensive] product and wish to tell us so, or you have a suggestion as to how we may improve our product [that you paid so much for that you are basically stuck with it for at least another year or two] please pay us for the privilege of doing so. We really care about our customers['money, and would like to have more of it to help defray the huge financial hit we took on our other even more ill-conceived products]." Go directly to ****. Do not pass Go. Do not collect another one of my hard-come-by pennies until you show us, the CUSTOMERS, that you understand how foolish and insulting your post is, and fix that teratoma of a user interface. If you wish to ban me for abusive language, go right ahead. I am sick of the contempt that companies like yours and drones like you shower on the consumers you all so badly need. But before you do, Mr. Brian MVP Outlook Tillman, please contact me with the names and postal mail addresses of the person within Microsoft that you answer to, the VP of customer relations, and the VP of public relations, or persons with the equivalent functions. I am saving a screenshot of this page and wish to notify them the day after I provide it to every tech magazine, website, tech reporter/editor I can reach, and my local newspaper, which serves a community of over two million people. Respectfully [That's a lie.] yours, ORD

Microsoft Community does not and never was been intended to provide a way for people to give their opinions to Microsoft or make suggestions about Microsoft products in a way that Microsoft will receive them. In general, Microsoft employees do not read these forums. Microsoft Community is a peer-to-peer venue where people who have experience using Microsoft products can help others who are having trouble. If you want to interact with Microsoft, you should use the paid support channels.

GREED, GREED AND MORE GREED WHY THE **** SHOUD WE PAY TO GET A MICORSOFT BALLS UP FIXED HOW ABOUT YOU BE MORE CONSTRUCTIVE AND GIVE US A LINK WHERE WE CAN LOG OUR COMPLAINT AND GREVENSES THEN INSTEAD OF BEING A PARTONISING MORON
