Change Background color Theme Office 2013

Actually, I would find it hurmous if I didn't have clients that insist on excel or access files. Google docs has almost caught up to Microsoft, but like so many things, Google does, it always falls shorts; wether it's competing against Apple or Micosoft.

It amazes me how long this thread has been up and how many Microsoft customers have been complaining over the color of their working enivorment and the best they can they can do is add black to Office 365. And, they pat themselves on their backs for doing it.

Yes, it's made my job easer, but come on, with all the themes Windows has had over the years including Win 7 and Win 10; you cannot tell me that those themes could have been added to Office.

Thanks for posting in Microsoft Community. It is unfortunate that you are unable to locate the option in Office 2013 to change the theme of applications. Let me help you with the issue.

For the Office 2013 (RTM) version you may follow the below steps:

1. Go to the File tab
2. Click on Options
3. Choose the General tab on the left
4. Find the ‘O ffice Theme’ dropdown item
5. Choose between White, Light Gray, and Dark Gray.

If you have Office 2013 preview version installed, then you have an option to change the background color by clicking on File, Options, General and under the group 'Personalize your copy of Microsoft Office', you may choose the background you wish to change to and click ok.

If you are using preview version of Office then you have a Smiley on the top right hand side of the application, you may click on it and send in your feedback.

STOP II! Stop cutting and this and pasting this same BS solution. 99.999% of your customers are aware of to change the color to one these useless choices. The fact that you have been answering to everyones' complaint with is same tired non helpful non solution supports the belief that Microsoft doesn't care about its cunsumer of this product.

something that would help would be Microsoft has heard your complaint, and we are working on resolving the issue or Microsoft does not see this as an use that needs to be addressed.

About six months ago, which was roughly a little more then year since I left my former employmer and my copy that I had gotton from them stop working. I tried working with Google Doc's.  It is ohso ever close to be a quality replacement to Microsoft, but most of my clients need Excel and Access file. Another year or two, the direction Microsoft has been moving and their lousy customer service, Google Doc's might over take them and best of all, it's free.

Anyway, my wife and I broke down and bought Office 365 and before the updates, there was little difference, but after the updates, Mircosoft cheered and padded themselves on their back and they exclaimed how they listened to its consumers.
