Change Background color Theme Office 2013

Has anyone come up with how to Change the Color on the Office 2013 Them from "gray". Microsoft has really not been user friendly with Windows 8 or Office 2013 in enabling the user to change their environment.

I think Microsoft does not read these forum questions. Otherwise, some of the technical people would be contacting their customers to gain feedback.

I am extremely disappointed in the Office 13 and Win8 programs.

Anyone got any ideas?

Hi,

Thanks for posting in Microsoft Community. It is unfortunate that you are unable to locate the option in Office 2013 to change the theme of applications. Let me help you with the issue.

For the Office 2013 (RTM) version you may follow the below steps:

Go to the File tab
Click on Options
Choose the General tab on the left
Find the ‘O ffice Theme’ dropdown item
Choose between White, Light Gray, and Dark Gray.

If you have Office 2013 preview version installed, then you have an option to change the background color by clicking on File, Options, General and under the group 'Personalize your copy of Microsoft Office', you may choose the background you wish to change to and click ok.

If you are using preview version of Office then you have a Smiley on the top right hand side of the application, you may click on it and send in your feedback.

Ma'am, since you are a titled " Microsoft Support Engineer" I would ask that you please do something about this issue or contact someone who can!

The white-on-white idea is a disaster. As a college student with very poor eyesight already, I do not have the financial luxury of uninstalling this Office version and re-installing a previous one; I also do not have such a luxury of purchasing contacts or stronger glasses. I am legitimately thinking about not using the program I payed good money for to preserve my eye health. Why is this an un-addressed issue for so many people? How is it that the company you are a representative of is so unresponsive to customer needs?

We as paying customers deserve to be heard and listened to, yet it seems that our words are falling on deaf ears. I volunteer frequently with an outreach program designed to assist low-income/ first generation students (like me) with making better choices to get the most out of college.... and as an MS Office user for a long time, I am sad to say that I will be discouraging MS Office 2013 as a good investment until Microsoft's issue with performance and basic customer service is rectified.

You are kiddin' right? Attempting to explain how someone can change their drab themes to something 1% less drab? I'm going back to 2010 Office before I make myself sick!
