Microsoft Office 2013 Has Stopped Working

Just installed Office 2013 Professional Plus.  Everytime i try and run one of the apps like word, excel, outlook, and so on it just pops up and saying it has stopped working.  It then says it searchs for a solution online which doesn't ever do anything there either.  This happens with all the componenets of Office.  After it erroring out a couple of times i can usually get it to start in safe mode.  I have already gone in and disabled the add ins.  Have tried uninstalling Office and reinstalling.  Did a repair on it.  Tried doing the reapair while Norton AntiVirus and Firewall were disabled.  Installed all the Office 2013 updates.  None of them have fixed the issue.  Booted my computer into safe mode with networking and tried running it from there, it didn't give me the error saying it has stopped just that it can't be run in safe mode.  I'm running Win 7 Pro 64 Bit.

Thanks.

I solved my issue last weekend.  Turned out to be one of the add-ins, ABBYY Finereader.  Not sure where that one came from, but I disabled it for Outlook and Excel, and everything is working fine now.

[Note from CM: Microsoft is aware of this problem; see "Office programs may crash with the FineReader add-in installed" at**http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2755838/en-us**.]

I am glad that it works for you.  However, I am bewildered.  Are you sure that it was not the other way around - that you were trying to install the 64-bit version and that installing the 32-bit version overcame the problem.

Microsoft do not recommend the use of the 64-bit version unless it is required because of the need to run extremely large, extremely complex Excel models.

So after two hours of remote access to my pc, Microsoft figured out that I needed to install the 64-bit version of Office.  Such a simple fix after trying everything possible multiple times.....

It happens even during installation.  This is after I used the fix-it tool to remove Office.  My drivers are all up to date and I have no idea what to do now.
