Hi David,

In case you haven't already found the solution right click on Excel 2013 (or any other Office 2013 application) and select 'Run as Administrator' then follow the steps to activate online

Regards

Mark

In response to ChristopherPape. Hear Hear!!.

I am so fed up with the wild goose chasing by so called " *web behind the ears"*Experts. This is not just limited to Microsoft , You find them in just about every forum. Symantec is the worst.

Thank you. Like many others I couldn't see "Run as admin" on my machine - I didn't know about the Shift key trick. This worked perfectly.. and run as admin allowed me to activate.

Yah, dont even get me started on this nonsense with the Click to Run system!  If I had to download the image everytime I wanted to do a client install, I would go nuts.  I have downloaded the image, which you can do by registering an account, and then clicking 'Install from disc' in the additional options, rather than just hitting install.  I have the img mounted on the fileserver, and can simply run the install from there and enter the licence key.

Thanks for the heads up tho Charlie, that may help others that do not have the img file (as I understand it, only certain product keys have the option to download the img?).
