Microsoft Word 2013 has stopped working

Whenever I try to open Word 2013 (safe mode is working fine), it says Word 2013 has stopped working. All other Office 2013 are working correctly.

Sounds like you may have a Bluetooth Add-in that is causing the problem.  Click on the File menu, then Options and then on Add-Ins and then click on the Go button alongside Manage Add-ins and if there is a Bluetooth Add-in, disable it.

    Doug,

    Appreciate all the information passed along.  I had the problem with Microsoft <insert application here> Office 2013 has stopped working...  This occurred on my 64bit Win 7HP laptop with NVIDIA driver, but not my 64bit Win 7HP desktop with a different vendor's graphic card.  I updated (not renamed) the driver file and problem was solved - got this by following your threads - but I think someone else posted.

    Now the issue is, open 2013 word and create a file/doc and close - no problem, reopen file, but always opens in word 2010 - would like to modify that behavior so all office docs (word, ppt, etc) open default in 2013.  Can you help with this please?

    Where is the File Menue? In the actual program that's not working maybe? Please explain.

    Thanks, Doug. I did find the article after posting my query here, and I've gotten as far as starting in safe mode and figuring out that the problem is apparently not related to add-ins. I hadn't seen the website on repairing Office 2013, though, so I'll try that before investigating video configuration incompatibilities.
