Does Office 365 Home Premium come with ad-free outlook.com e-mail?

FYI, no need to upgrade to remove adverts if you use Chrome; I use an extension called 'Webmail Ad Blocker' which, as the author describes, "Block ads on the right hand side of the screen when using Yahoo Mail, Hotmail, Outlook.com and Gmail thereby expanding your message space."  The author has several extensions I've also been using for years. They're so good I send in an annual donation in appreciation of his great work. (I believe there are similar extensions for Firefox as well, but I stopped using FF long ago so don't hold me to it).  Hope that helps!

The firefox extension WebMail Ad Blocker 4.29 worked perfectly with the new Outlook Mail (formerly Outlook.com) on Firefox 46.0.

It really annoys me that I am giving MS over $100/year for SaaS of the MS Office suite and they have to try and squeeze me for an extra $20/year to use the webmail counterpart to my desktop Outlook.  Not to mentioned the donations I make with Skype!

I do not care where the customer service is, an easy question like this should have been answered directly to begin with.

When i subscribed to MS Office 365 Home Premium 5 user edition i did it through my Outlook.com account. MS said my subscription included Office 365 which should include Outlook.com since it is on the menu list and touted as the online counter part to Outlook desktop just like Word and Excel.

It is accessing my 1 Tb of One Drive.

That looks like part of the package to me.

So therefore to me it is not free but part of a service i pay for.

Because they market it that way.

The question - still unanswered - is: why, when subscribing to the paidOffice365 service does the online outlook web application still serve adverts?

Yes, I can and do use Outlook 2016 as a client and that's fine

Yes, I use the 1TB of OneDrive and that is also fine

Yes, I use SharePoint, OneNote and other online web apps - all ad free

BUT: on the occasions that I use the Outlook web app (aka outlook.com), I am still served ads.

Not a big deal and I work around it - but I'm disappointed that:

a) there isn't a clear answer; and

b) there is a disjoint between different components of the same overall service package known as Office365
