Does an Office 365 Home Premium subscription come with ad-free outlook.com e-mail, or would I still need to pay an additional $20/year?

    Apparently, due to the lack of a response addressing your question and the fact I have office365 and still get adds, the answer is no. You pay for Office365 and still get adds.

    Outlook.com is free, but it displays ads. It costs $20 a year for an ad free experience. The question was whether paying for a Office 365 subscription includes no ads on Outlook.com or if you still have to pay.

    It makes a lot of sense to have most nag-less version of Outlook with your 365 subscription, as other cloud versions of Office become available with the subscription.....

    I just spend six days trying to figure out how to get a subscription for my installation of Outlook on Mac.  My government gives employees the application.  I've been a mac user for many years.  After installing Outlook for mac, I discovered the I was going to need to get a subscription.  NO WHERE ON THE OUTLOOK.COM site is there a button that says, "Buy Subscription Now!"  It took me six days to find a number to call.  And when I got to the lady, she couldn't speak English.  Eventually I got a link out of her and bought the subscription.  

    But now my problem is when I go to Office365 online, my OUTLOOK.com still shows ads on the right side.  I don't see any way of integrating it with my desktop Outlook app.  The question that this fellow asked was the same as I am asking.   

    WHEN WE PAY FOR AN OFFICE 365 SUBSCRIPTION, DO WE GET AD-FREE OUTLOOK.COM?

    Folks, it appears the original question continues to go unanswered here.  

    So, I will simply answer it.  Yes, the two outlook services are not related other than the name "outlook."

    But to answer the QUESTION.... 

    ANSWER:

    As a 365 subscriber, you will still need to either pay to remove adds from Outlook.com OR, simply install a Firefox extension (also called add-ons or plug-ins) like "Webmail Ad Blocker." 

    This is a program that will do outlook.com among other webmail providers and sometimes give you back that screen real estate in the process as well.  Outlook.com ad blocker is currently only available within Chrome, but like I said, there is the other extension called "Webmail Ad Blocker" extension for FireFox that works great!

    The only things in common between Outlook.com and the Outlook application included with some Office 365 subscriptions are the letters O u t l o o and k.  Having the full Outlook application as part of Office 365 bestows no benefits as far as using an Outlook.com email address.
