Unable to open Word 2013 Error: Word has stopped Working.

Original Title: $140 for ****!

I have purchased Office Home & Student 2013 and it installed perfectly fine. Yet, when I go to Word and try open a blank document out pops a box stating Microsoft Word has stopped working and I will be notified IF there is a fix. WTH! I cannot use the dang program. PLEASE help!!

    Dear Doug Robbins, You are a bloomin legend....I have spent the entire day trying to activate my new Microsoft 365 and by googling the problem and reading your instructions my problem was fixed in 3 seconds literally....thank you thank you thank you from New Zealand
