I am getting the following error in Office 2013. My software is licensed but it gives this error and exit:
Microsoft office can't find your license for this application. a repair attempt was unsuccessful or was cancelled.

Hi Michael,
My problem was solved after restarting/starting SOFTWARE PROTECTION service in windows 8, that service was stopped and its behaviour was Automatic(Delayed Start). So i just start that service and error gone. YOu try this as well.
The only thing that I could do to fix this was to completely uninstall and reinstall the full office package. It does not matter what version of Office you have.
I tried to run a repair of the office package but it still did not work properly.
i don't know where to find this software protection. kindly assist. there is a file named sppsvc. exe but it says  windows cannot specify ......bla bla
