You can change the theme in Office by clicking File > Account page in any Office product with the exception of Outlook. In Outlook, Click File > Office Account to change the theme.

There are three themes available in Office 2013:

White - Default

Light Gray

Dark Gray

When will other themes be available? Most specifically, Blue....

I spend hours a day in Outlook. I "upgraded" to Office 2013 when I purchased a Surface so that all my computers would have the same software.

Staring at Outlook all day, even with the dark grey theme, it is a very boring, tough on the eyes screen. People need contrast in the screens or their eyes have a hard time focusing quickly.

This needs to be a priority for Microsoft - yet I cant find any update plan anywhere....

Thank you for the feedback on Office’s new look. We are actively collecting, sorting and reading through feedback on Office 2013’s design and User Experience. As the audience for Office 2013 grows, we are being mindful of patterns and pain points that emerge from user feedback. While we do not have any additional Themes planned at this time, it is an issue we are watching very closely. Great! When you stop watching and start doing let me know; until then 2013 goes in the same pile as ME, ME2 (Vista), and ME3 (8). Lots of potential obliterated by some mind-numbingly silly design decisions. It's now July 2013, and yet, same ****. Thanks, as usual, for nothing MS, the only company who more times than not makes products worse with each new "update."

All Microsoft needs to do is add a color palette so we can change the color to something besides those lousy choices of white, light gray, and dark gray.  What's with the stupid monochrome look, anyway?  You could at least add some basic color options!!

The original question on this thread is a misnomer... it should be "How to I change the appearance of Office 2013 to actually be usable?"
