You can change the theme in Office by clicking File > Account page in any Office product with the exception of Outlook. In Outlook, Click File > Office Account to change the theme.

There are three themes available in Office 2013:

White - Default

Light Gray

Dark Gray

The dark grey isn't really that dark.   On my laptop it reminds me of the tuning the gamma colour, and is susceptible to variation in appearance depending on the tilt of the screen.  I find it relatively harsh on my eyes.

Is it possible to make custom themes or import the Dark theme from Outlook 2010 ?

Is there a way to set the default theme through the OCT?  I want my users to see the light grey theme by default in all Office 2013 applications, as I am suppressing the "First Run" dialog via the OCT.  I looked through the user settings listing and did not see a setting to do this.

All those themes are awful, I've only had 2013 on my PC for about 10 minutes, but I'm already rolling back to 2010... I started getting a headache and watery eyes within about 60 seconds... and as I spend 90% of my day with Outlook, Word & Excel, there's no way I'm putting up with this...

Bring back the Darker themes and I'll upgrade, and deploy it to the network, until then, there's no way I'm subjecting the teachers & pupils to this torture.
