You can change the theme in Office by clicking File > Account page in any Office product with the exception of Outlook. In Outlook, Click File > Office Account to change the theme.

There are three themes available in Office 2013:

White - Default

Light Gray

Dark Gray

    Hey MS,

    It is getting a little tedious to see the same complaint for over 3 years from a myriad of people - and you saying you welcome comments - and see no hint of change.

    WooHoo!! Great if I'm colorblind. But I'm NOT!!! Seriously. Somebody needs to tell me how to change the COLOR..............COLOR scheme.

    Yes, I agree. The bottom line is efficiency and increasing productivity. Just as companies have to consider lean processes in strategic planning, so should Microsoft consider that to keep things simple and more user friendly in their software interface.  Just a few things they should keep in mind, less clicks to get make a change, lightly color coding ribbon and objects to help the eye notice them quicker, provide easy to follow tutorials to make it easier on learning their software program.  The have done a good job on providing several more templates that are attractive to the eye and professional.

    Today was my first entire day with the new interface and, as I prepare to go home, the headache that began early-afternoon is becoming quite irritating. 

    I just wonder if the UI designers at Micro$oft have been traveling in their Deloreans back to the 80s minimalist periods and thinking, 30 years or more on, "Ain't we cool?" Certainly, they appear to have forgotten about post-modernism, accessibility and usability. How hard is it to program the apps to change skins and let us design our own? I'm pretty sure it isn't that difficult compared to all the other virtually useless features that are now included in a set of apps which is probably "fully" used by less than 10% of users.

    Grrrrrrr. 

    I'm going to get a couple of Advils and a drink.
