You can change the theme in Office by clicking File > Account page in any Office product with the exception of Outlook. In Outlook, Click File > Office Account to change the theme.

There are three themes available in Office 2013:

White - Default

Light Gray

Dark Gray

    I also agree that Microsoft needs to be more transparent about customer feedback and their roadmap of planned changes/enhancements moving forwards.  I work for a software company and there is no way our clients would let us get away without this simple communication.  There is a reason why Apple and Linux are the alternate choice and lead the way in customer satisfaction.

    Come on Microsoft - give the people what they are asking for!!!

    wow

    They decided to bring bark the BLACK theme for Office 16 !

    I'll forgive Microsoft if Office 2015 really looks like this picture below:

    Except maybe for:

    • All caps menus
    • Wasted space between the items and ribbon size too high

    At least color is awesome compared to 2013

    So is it me or are all the big names oblivious to this issue? Several months ago I wrote PC World magazine to ask them if they were aware of the horrid color scheme and headache provoking skin in Office 2013. I received no reply nor have I read any reviews anywhere else. I read most PC magazines and have been looking for signs of hope but nothing! I can only speculate that Microsoft pays them enough money to remain silent. To this day, I know no one that wants to use the new version and most revert back. When I installed my Windows 8 on a new build I also installed Office 2013. After two days I was on the phone pleading with Microsoft to allow my installation again of Office 2010. My limit had been reached so I needed them to authorize another install. They did, but do you think they got the hint? NOT!

    Funny. I notice that since I have been vocal in criticising 365, Microsoft have suddenly decided to change my "services agreement". Apparently, all I have to do to accept the "changes" is use the product after July 31 2014. Funny that! I have therefore already accepted whatever "change" they have come up with to silence my criticism. I suggest that Microsoft should invest its time in reforming Office 365 colour schemes instead of trying to intimidate and gag those who are understandably criticising it.
