How to change the theme of Office 2013

I would like to see some way to skin Office 365.  If Microsoft would allow user-made skins it would go a long way to make the product user-friendly. The limited options are awful, bad, not-so-bad, maybe a little not-so-bad.  How about some blue or green background options?  It shouldn't be painful to look at the screen for long periods of time.  White is too bright.

I was surprised about the lack of choice of colours but thought I could live with it - until yesterday. Then working on a large spreadsheet with a tight deadline for a customer requirements document I managed to select multiple worksheets and "insert copied cells" without noticing until it was too late to undo. I then spent the next 4 hours recreating my work.

2013 is going tonight. What a complete disaster. Oh and I received a Windows phone as a work mobile - the default colour schemes on that are unreadable as well. Although at least they can be changed. Good luck Nokia.....

Much as I dislike gripe-fests, I am compelled to chime in here. My eyes are aging. I need greater contrast to calm my inner child and keep it focused on the job at hand. Office 2013 feels too much like staring at the sun. I won’t go into comparisons with previous versions or competitor tools. However, I should like to find a way to tame the color choices, better yet, lack of choices that Office 2013 serves up.

I'm not technically "visually impaired"; however, the more I use Office 2013, particularly Outlook, the closer I get to blind. I'm so sick of trying to figure out where the cursor is to move emails into my folders. I can't imagine how incredibly frustrating this would be for anyone visually challenged. Very cruel that Microsoft has shown such contempt for users who struggle at the best of times. Why is it so difficult for Microsoft to bring back the previous themes?
