Other than cropping, I was able to use edit wrap points to edit pictures to get just a portion of the object. How does this work in Publisher 2013?

Unless the freehand shape is an option, the function has not evolved well. **In previous versions, the portion of the image outside of the wrap points was not visible.**This is a function I use daily and will have to find an alternative now.
In addition to JimenezOlga's answer the cropping function in Pub 2013 has evolved.

Adobe is notorious for not playing well with MSFT. Not surprised to hear of another case.
FWIW there is no need to buy Acrobat as Publisher 2007 and newer have built-in PDF maker tools. And I also enjoy the freebie primopdf.

I can't thank you enough for the info on primo, etc. I have to do interactive vet hospital forms so that's what I mostly used adobe acrobat pro for, not wanting to use their online form maker, so I had it and just used it for my publisher pdf's as well. Had some problem with the MS built-in PDF maker, but will test it again. But definitely will check out primo. Thank you -- you are solid gold! Really appreciate all of your help and advice!!! Glad I found this forum before I spent hours & hours on this. I just upgraded to Office 365 and had been using PUB 2010. I also use the Edit Wrap Points feature quite a bit. So, to join the crusade, I just called that 800
that someone had provided, and, after being transferred two times and speaking with 3 different individuals and providing the Bug #, I am nowhere. I was simply told that IF there are any improvements, my software will be automatically upgraded. I will
use my 2010 Pub to save my pics as a "pic" then insert them into my 2013 file. However, doing it this way still does not trim away the (now invisible) excess, so any other text boxes touching the pic still have to be manipulated to accommodate my larger-than-needed pics! Seems like Microsoft just doesn't care....

It's been a very long time, and MS probably will never fix it, just as they never fixed shadows in Pub 2010. I still use my standalone packages I purchased for both Publisher 2010 and 2013, depending on my needs. I also use photoshop a lot so that helps. My printer is the best and cheapest -- Printing for Less - and can handle ANY file format so I'm happy and still functioning.
