How do I email a .pdf attachment through a mail merge Word & Outlook 2010

We email out group interest letters, the merge letter is created in Word 2010 and than email through mail merge Outlook 2010. We attached a .pdf flyer to each email. (at this time we are email one at a time.)

Is there a way to attach a .pdf file to an email blast (mail merge)? We are running XP right now but will be changing to Windows 7 with in the coming weeks.

Any help we could get on this would be great. Everything I have been able to pull off the internet is on earlier visions of Microsoft Office and Windows.

I have looked at this but this is for earlier versions of Microsoft Office. I need something that will work with Office 2010, but thank you!

While the method to which Gordon gave you the link will work with any version of Word from Word 97 onwards, I have developed a much simpler method that you can use if you download the MergeTools – 20120225 Add-in that I created from the following page of my OneDrive:

The mergetools template must be saved in the Word Startup folder.

I am having trouble with your plug-in for a mail-merge and attaching a PDF file to the email.

I am using Word 2003 and my database of email addresses are in Access.

In Word I have a letter going out to my sub-contractors with project scope information.

But I need to attach a PDF drawing for them to see the changes as described in my letter.

When I use the 'Merge with Attachments' button, I am told that the database needs to be Excel.

Does your "20140218.dotm Add-in " work with what I am doing? I have saved it as you outlined in your document "Merge Tools - Merging with Attachments" and I am seeing it in Word on the Tool Bar.

If the client will only accept one invoice per email, you are going to need to create a separate pdf for each invoice. Then you could use the Merge with Attachments facility on my MergeTools Add-in to send multiple emails to the client, each one with an invoice attached and with an individualised subject line if you have a data source with multiple records for the client, but with each record having the path\filename of a unique attachment and unique text in the field that you select as the Subject field when using the add-in.

I have an unique scenario in that I have to email the same email address repeatedly with a pdf attachment, however the attachment is different each time, as is the email message AND subject line. I have a client that I send 300-500 invoices to each month, so the recipient email is always the same, however each attachment is one invoice (they will not accept more than one per email.) and I have to state descriptive information in the subject line. Would your add-on be able to assist in automating this so I do not have to spend a whole day sending 400 emails to the same email address? Currently the invoices are all in one pdf, but can be broken out into several if required.
