microsoft word starter 2010 won't open

I was just using it, then I went to re-open for my daughter and a box appears saying microsoft word starter cannot be opened. Try again or repair the product in control panel. Well i went to control panel under programs chose the program and clicked change, it still didnt work. Does anyone know whats going on? and or how i can get it to work?

This just happened to me.

Basically:

  1. open the control panel
  2. choose programs & features
  3. right click on Microsoft Office Starter edition
  4. select change
  5. Say "yes" to repairing the app.

    Tried this solution a few times...no luck. Now the office starter is deleted from system (as instructed) but cannot find it to download...came with system, so no discs.

    My Word Starter won't open. It prompts me too check the internet connection which is working fine and then closes. I have windows 7. Any help would be much appreciated.
