In any spreadsheet now the right click no longer opens the menu. I can't copy and paste, edit or anything else. The mouse works in word and other applications, and in fact works in the header or menus of excel. But if I got to a cell, it will not open upon right click.

Try this:
From your worksheet, press Alt + F11. careful, that's ALT + F11
Next press Ctrl+G
Type in (or copy here and paste)
Application.CommandBars("Cell").Reset
Then press the Enter key.
Press Alt+Q to return to the worksheet.
Click your right mouse button on any worksheet cell. Does your right click menu appear now?
I think the sheet may be password protected.
Check in sample new file, if it happens the same.

The problem seems to have been solved by going to options/add-ins and removing the only .com add in I had which was a bluetooth mobile app. I uninstalled it completely.
I am using office 2010 64 bit. this fix above didn't work.
