Transfer license to a new computer

Hello all,

I just purchased a new computer and want to transfer my Microsoft Office license to the new computer. How do I do that? Can someone send me step-by-step instructions?

The activation process keeps track of number of times you have used a product key. If this is your 4th installation you may get message saying you can't use this product key. Make sure you uninstall from one of the other machines. If it won't allow you to activate, you will have to do a phone activation and tell the service rep that you have uninstalled from one of the previous machines.

    It is more likely to be Office 2010 as that is the Office referred to by the OP.

    Thanks - The version I have is Microsoft Professional Plus 2013. I still have the Product ID and the set-up key and what I believe to be a product key. But I don't have a hard copy (cd) of it anymore.

    Try here: Install or reinstall Office Home and Student 2013, Office Home and Business 2013, or Office Professional 2013  Basically you need to download your office from your Office Account at: https://www.office.com/Myaccount  You need to sign in with the email address and password for the Microsoft Account that you used when you first installed your Office.  You must uninstall your office from your old computer before installing it on your new computer.
