I want to add a page number in word 2010, but there are no options of varying page numbers

I want to add a page number in word 2010, but there are  no options of varying page numbers. What it says is just More page numbers from office.com and save selection as page number(in grey). Nornally, wasn't it supposed to show all the pictures of the options listed?

So, I wanted to find More Page Numbers from Office.com, but there were No Online Content Available.

The problem was fixed by making "C:\Users...\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Document Building Blocks\1033"unhidden, although I didn’t delete the “Building Blocks.dotx” mentioned inhttp://www.conetrix.com/Blog/post/Fix-Missing-Insert-Page-Numbers-in-Word-2007.aspx.

But why aren't there more Page Numbers from Office.com?

Anyways, thanks for all the help.

    I have exactly the same issue.  Not sure why. I did a complete installation and ran everything from disk as the option during install.  It is amazing to me that such a simple task, putting a page number in a header, becomes such an arduous task.  The help system in word was basically of no use in exploring a solution to this problem.  So this is supposed to be the simple and elegant interface for Office.  You can keep it.  Going back to Office 2003.  Not impressed with their ribbons, bows and blocks.

    You can also insert a PAGE field in any location by pressing Alt+Shift+P. (I feel like we're going in circles.)
