How do I make the "Paste Options" popup go away after pasting text?

I'm using Office 2007 on Windows 7 Professional.
This drives me crazy, and right now it's blocking other text I need to edit. When I move text around, using the right-click cut and paste menu, after pasting the paste options popup shows, and it won't go away, even if I choose a paste option. How do I make the stupid thing disappear after I'm done with it?

"Deactivates" how? You can paste clipboard content repeatedly by pressing Ctrl+V repeatedly.
I guess you could be referring to pasting in Excel. Note that this thread is about Word.

What would be more convenient is if there was a way to deactivate the popup without deactivating the source cell for pasting. I dont want to turn the feature off forever, I just want it to get out of the *** way and stop blocking other cells I need to edit or read.
