Can I install the cat office assistant in Word, Excel, etc in 2010. Miss my kitty

I agree with the comment above.  It is the little things in life. The assistants were not only helpful but also friendly for those areas of Word or Excel that you use maybe once in a great while or never at all.  Aside from that, after sitting in front of a computer all day, the cat or dog or whichever character you prefer became a little entertaining on an otherwise long day.  Whenever I was at work, plugging away, the dog or cat always managed to make me smile.  What's wrong with that?

I much prefer the older versions of Microsoft Office as I feel they are more user friendly.  I too miss my kitty cat.  When I bought my laptop it had the newer office version, but I installed my older one as it helped me to maneuver through much quickly and efficiently.  Thank goodness I have my cat at home, but I miss him keeping me company at work.

I can not find the 2007 as my wife died August5,2012. I've tried and failed to load onto my Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit the following:  Office 2000 Professional sr1 (love that one), Microsoft Works 7.0, Microsoft Plus for Windows XP.  What are compatibility settings good for? Office 2007 may have been a download, but I did not think you were doing that at the time.  Please help me. How to use Office 2001, how to recover Office 2007, or how to get any assistant

on Office 2010.  How to get  a refund on Office 2010.  We were pleased that 2007 did not ruin

Office 2000.  Office 2010 is beginning, just beginning to look like another Microsoft program

Please let me say that I am sorry for your loss.

The last version of Office to have the Office assistant as Office 2003. If you like Office 2000 and it does all you require of it then continue to use it, though there will be no more updates for it. Office 2003 is no longer available and current versions do not use assistants but rely on help - much of which is on-line.

However Office 2000 is not compatible with Windows 7.

Office 2007 was (and still is) available to download, though new product keys are not available. If you purchased via a download, then you would have been sent a product key by e-mail. If you can recall the account used to purchase it you can also re-log into that account to obtain it.

If it was installed on the old PC (the one with Windows XP) then you can recover the key from that key from the PC using Belarc Advisor - http://www.belarc.com/free_download.htmland the download files can be obtained, using the key from http://www.microsoft.com/office/downloads/

As for a refund on Office 2010. If you have also purchased that product see http://www.microsoft.com/mscorp/productrefund/refund.mspx for eligibility criteria.
