Can I install the cat office assistant in Word, Excel, etc in 2010. Miss my kitty

I know most don't like the office assistant, but I've recently upgraded to 2010 and miss my kitty.  Is it possible to get it for 2010?

    Tsk tsk.  Such manners.

    The "you" you're berating here is NOT Microsoft. 

    We're all just office users like you.  Some of us choose to spend time here helping others. 

    And for better or worse, the Ribbon's alive, the cat's dead.  If we want the advantages of the newer versions of Office, we have to get over it.  Or stick with the old version.  And keep the cat.

    Yes We will keep the old version of Microsoft Word and the new one sucks!

    I concur with you honey....Some People like "CUTE" things some people don't.  As for as I'm concerned they were SO ADORABLE.  I'd like to see SOMEONE make a come back.  I know the world  is constantly evolving, but so what? As for as MY CUTE character "LINK THE CAT", who wouldn't love to see him as he did all sorts of precious moves and kept us entertained we worked. 

    For the time being however, I have a BEAUTIFUL "Apple Head Cat" sitting next to me as I reply to your answer. All in all, I want my LINK and Clippy and the whole lot as well. Typing has in a sense become boring again. ***POUT***

    Alas, you can't program what isn't there to BE programmed. MS has completely removed Clippy, the cat, the Office Lady and all their uncles and cousins and sisters and aunts. And pets.

    But google "speaking characters for PowerPoint" (leave out the quotes) and there are quite a few hits.

    VoxProxy ( http://www.voxproxy.com/ ) has been around for a long, long time. Tom and Alice Atkins, the developers, are good folks.  You might contact them (there are contact links on the site) to see if it meets your needs.

    I was disappointed to learn that they were gone too.  Not that I used them for help, but I used them in PPT presentations.  My audiences loved to have the Genius come out and talk to them, walk across the screen, etc...  It made them fun.  That was my use... and for the guy that continues to say, "learn to use the program..." I say, "learn to program the Genius".
