MS stopped including Picture Manager in Office 2013. 

But is still a way to get it for free.  Picture Manager has been included in a couple of free downloads that you can get. Then you do a "customize" installation and select to install only Picture Manager.

If you just want MODI or Picture Manager 2007 or OneNote 2007, you can start the SharePoint installation process then select the **“Custom” install option.**This will allow you to deselect SharePoint and any other product you do not want wasting space on your machine.

Download SharePoint Designer 2007 

  • Do a “Customize install” to select SharePoint / MODI (under Office Tools) / OneNote  / or select only “Picture Manger” if that is what you want.

Note: the free download of SharePoint Designer 2007 includes a few surprising extras:

  • OneNote 2007
  • MODI- MS Office Document Imaging

NOTE: when one person ran that download it did not include OneNote. I redownloaded and ran it and did see it. We never did resolve what the cause was.

    There us a free download available - can't remember where I found it online.  Opening pics with it is weird, though.  You first open the Picture Manager and then Copy pics into it.  NOT a right click from a pic like it used to.  

    Oh and have you noticed, WordArt is gone, too?  I can't help but wonder, who in the world though all these changes up at the Microsoft.  Not a smart idea (thumbs down)

    I am buying me a MS Office 2007, period.

    I have a  old MS Office 2007 too. There is an Office Picture Manager. I installed only Picture Manager (from this Office). Not more. Office Picture Manager is working.

    The one feature that I used Microsoft Office Picture Manager for was to do batch cropping. We often get multiple photos from sources that need to be cropped the same way. It was the only quick and easy solution that I could find.

    Windows Live Photo Gallery doesn't batch crop.
