I am trying to embed a video from youtube directly into my powerpoint presentation. Under the insert tab and video pull down list, I have the option of "video from file" and "video from clipart", but the option of "video from website" is there in the pull down menu but I can't "click" it. The option is "greyed out" please help ty.

Requirements for online video sites (Youtube, etc.) are as follows:
Flash Player 10+
Windows Media Player 10 or higher
32-bit Office 2010

I have a slightly different situation: the option "video from website" is just not visible in the pull down menu.
And, I remember I used to have this option because I was able to try (without succes) this option a few days ago.
I have a powerpoint 2010 32bit.
Anybody an idea how this option could disapear in my drop down menu?
It is completely hosed in 2013 (both 32 and 64 bit)
If you have access to 2010 you might be able to use thefix we published and then open the file in 2013
The old style insert in the free AddIn on the same page also MIGHT work in 2013
I'm using PowerPoint 2013 and am still having the same issue on a 64bit version where the option to insert a video with embed code doesn't exist.
When Echo posted that (a long time ago!) there was no Adobe flash player available for 64 bit and therefore it couldn't work and the command grayed out. 64 bit Flash has been available for years now. If you have allowed flash player to update it should now be 64 bit compliant.
Nothing to do with the 64 bit codec pack BTW.
