I am trying to embed a video from youtube directly into my powerpoint presentation. Under the insert tab and video pull down list, I have the option of "video from file" and "video from clipart", but the option of "video from website" is there in the pull down menu but I can't "click" it. The option is "greyed out" please help ty.

Requirements for online video sites (Youtube, etc.) are as follows:
Flash Player 10+
Windows Media Player 10 or higher
32-bit Office 2010

I think I have 32-bit Office 2010 (from looking at Help under Word...Version 14 (32-bit) it says.
I have PowerPoint open as well and when I copy code from YouTube by going to Video/insert video from website I receive an error: PowerPoint cannot insert a video from this embed code. Verify that the embed code is correct, and then try again."
I have used the old code by clicking that check box on YouTube. I tried right clicking on the video and choosing copy html code, but I still receive this error. Is there anything else that I can try?
Try installing SP1 (64-bit version) for Office 2010. That made mine enabled.
I had the same problem with the 64-bit version of PPT. HOWEVER, today I downloaded the 64-bit SP1 for PowerPoint 2010 and now the "Insert video from Web" option is available.
