Hiii... I saved a document on my computer and when I tried to re-open it, just couldn't... I found this error message: The name in the end tag of the element must match the element type in the start tag. Location: Part:/word/document.xml, Line: 2, Column:646910. I already tried to open the file with notepad but i dont understand anything that appears there... i only get nonsense letters and symbols... :s Can anyone help me pleasee??? I believe the 13th <mc:AlternateContent> tag had no close. I manually added the closing tag and was able to open the document without further repair.

I heartily recommend that you seriously proofread this repaired copy for lost content before submitting to your client or boss.

If I remember correctly, the problem with your DOCX was an oMath mismatch. You should try the fix available here,

You receive an "end tag" error when you open Word 2007 or 2010 files

... How do you fix it?

If you make sure that your Office software suite has all applicable service packs and other updates applied, the instances of this problem are greatly reduced.

    I'm sure there is - unfortunately, none of us know what it is :-(.

    I'm afraid it's all guesswork at the moment - but I would start by removing the picture that is at the heart of the problem.

    Hii Jeeped... it's me again... guess what... i'm still working on that file, i haven't done many modifications and i tried to save my file this time even with a different name... but now... again... i cannot open any of them... what i am doing wrong??? is there something i should avoid doing???
