How do I get the classic Excel menu back in Excel 2010?
I'm talking about the Excel menu before this totally useless menu was introduced in Excel 2007.

What do you mean by "turn the ribbon off"? How is it done?
I'm aware you can minimize the ribbon, but that still doesn't give you back the old menu interface.

I think that is a little harsh and, indeed, inaccurate. I think intelligence has little to do with welcoming or fearing change.
BTW, in your other post (of 13 Feb 14) you go on about the difficulties in finding conditional formatting in Excel. I suggest that is not the best example to support your case since it is in plain sight on the ribbon.
I think it is also inaccurate of you to describe all the people who like the change to the ribbon to be "fanboys".
I like the ribbon in general but I much prefer WordPerfect over Word, which I use because everyone else I know does. See my earlier post in this thread mentioning that.
I prefer the way some formulae work in Lotus 1-2-3 but I still like Excel. What does that make me?

Boy did you reflect my feelings on Microsoft. They are a company that I love to hate...! This latest version "windows 10" makes me want to completely go to another spreadsheet all together.;
