How do I get the classic Excel menu back in Excel 2010?
I'm talking about the Excel menu before this totally useless menu was introduced in Excel 2007.

All that is left for you to do is to switch to Ubuntu or another Linux distro and your makeover will be complete :)

The new ribbon based user interface for MS office 2007 in my opinion is completely awful.. Wont argue the point about new users but what about existing users???? It was completely rediculous to release the new user interface without at least supporting a classic menu add on for those who where already accustome to using the older verision... UNBELIEVABLE... Speaking from experience I honestly tried using ribbon system for a couple months hated so much I simply went back to the old version ... It was nothing short of infurating being forced to relearn the whole system.. If you could calculate the lost productivity in the work enviroment globally from that transition the figure would be astronomical to say the least.. Someone at MS should have **** kicked in for that goofff.. Gates is genius but he should have never let something like that slip by.. occasional change is a good thing but this was very radical too much too fast too soon... not even sure how the ribbon escaped the beta or market testing... guessing they didnt even test the market b/c no one with any sense would have accepted something that dramatic..
No way, I think that is pathetic. I'm not interested in spending $ to get back what I had before.
A MS rep asked me why our organization is not upgrading to Office 2007 and I told him that we hate the menus, so he said they are making the classic menu available in Office 2010 - I guess he lied.
You don't unless you can find 3rd party add-ins by doing a Google search for them. We are forever stuck with them.
