IMAP is not allowing the email to flow from Spectrum.net to Outlook on my iphone since Spectrum eliminated the webmail portal this past week.

Here is a new one that I've not seen on the thread. When I delete my mail in rr it goes to trash in outlook!! Anybody else see that? It's been happening since Saturday 3/8. So I can move the mail from trash to in box in outlook, but really someone must have been messing with either spectrum or Microsoft code for this to happen! Now if only it would go to the in box!

Spectrum's only answer is if you can access your email on spectrum.net then they can't help with any other platforms. I cannot set up my Spectrum email in Outlook, on my Android phone or Gmail. So what is the problem? I was told the servers have changed. I used to use mail.twc.com. Now I was told that the incoming server should be imap.spectrum.net and the outgoing server should be smtp.spectrum.net. When I use the new servers the error message I get is the server cannot be found. I've been dealing with this for weeks and am very frustrated that no one seems to have an answer.

After months of no issues, starting in Feb we experienced interruption in incoming and outgoing Spectrum emails via "New" Outlook. Most days messages did not arrive; isolated times emails came through. Sending did not work. I could not change the email account settings because of the Microsoft requirement of a system password, which apparently does not exist. Advanced and manual account setup did not work for the same reason. I tried dozens of things, none worked. No consensus as to what caused it. The Spectrum email account we manage with Mozilla Thunderbird has worked fine without interruption, so this issue has to relate to Microsoft/Spectrum. One or the other did something that caused this mess.

My workaround which has worked for the past 3 days was to revert back to Classic Outlook. Once I overrode the IMAP email account settings emails came through and emails could be sent. I used:

    IMAP, mail.twc.com, 993, SSL/TLS

SMTP, mail.twc.com, 587, STARTTLS, authentication required

I had to export/import contacts, which was not as straightforward as one would expect with both being Microsoft products.

Our Spectrum email accounts began as a roadrunner account (RR.COM), then Time Warner, then Spectrum. This has not been a satisfactory journey.

I am trying to find an answer and all I see are multiple people with the same problem. Can't we get an actual microsoft employee to address this issue? The new webmail.spectrun.net works fine on IOS. Spectrum states it is a microsoft problem. From what I see here, no one is getting any answers! Glad I paid extra for support!! :<

I finally resolved the problem I was having by resetting my password. Hope it works for you.
