Hello Joe Farrell1
Welcome to Microsoft Community.
I understand that you are having problems configuring your Spectrum.net account using the IMAP email protocol in Outlook for iOS.
Generally speaking, the IMAP email protocol is universal and does not usually change at will. As of now, we have not collected a large number of user feedback that their Outlook for iPhone has problems with the IMAP email protocol.
Given the situation you described, it is recommended that you perform general troubleshooting in the following ways:
- Check account configuration: Please carefully check the configuration information of your Spectrum.net account in your phone with the support manual for configuring the IMAP protocol in third-party mailboxes provided by your email provider to see if there are any inconsistencies. If you find any problems, you can try to reconfigure. This step is critical because even a small configuration error may be rejected by your email provider's server.
- Check other IMAP accounts: Check whether other accounts configured with the IMAP email protocol in your mobile Outlook are running properly. If other accounts work, the problem may be with the configuration or settings of the specific Spectrum.net account; if other accounts have similar problems, it may involve broader issues such as Outlook software or mobile network settings.
- Try Apple Mail software: Use your Apple Mail software to configure your Spectrum.net account and see if it works. If it can be configured and used normally in Apple Mail, it means that the problem may be in the adaptation of Outlook and Spectrum.net account; if it cannot be configured successfully in Apple Mail, it is likely that there is a problem with the settings of the Spectrum.net account itself or its compatibility with the IMAP protocol.
Through these troubleshooting steps, we hope to find out why IMAP cannot flow emails from Spectrum.net to Outlook on your iPhone and then solve the problem. If you encounter any questions during the operation, please feel free to give us feedback.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.
