Using classic Outlook for Windows in business environments
Help please
Apple Mail is working. Outlook was working until 2/3/2025 then stopped. All configurations are correct.
This browser is no longer supported.
Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support.
IMAP is not allowing the email to flow from Spectrum.net to Outlook on my iphone since Spectrum eliminated the webmail portal this past week.

That an interesting scenario. So that points the finger back at Microsoft (Outlook) and not Spectrum. Thank you for posting.
Hi this is an update to my response on this issue.
I took a bold action and uninstalled office 2024 and reinstalled my earlier version of Office. I tried running outlook and got an error sending and receiving.
I uninstalled that version of office. I noticed Outlook (new) was still listed in my apps. I uninstalled that. I reinstalled Office 2024 again. I opened outlook and noticed that it opened in the Classic view. At that point Office stated working again I am now able to send and receive emails about 502 of them (going back to 12/15/24.)
Not sure what corrected it. Whether it was uninstalling 2024, reinstalling an earlier version, uninstalling that version and reinstalling 2024, uninstalling Outlook (new) version, using Outlook classic on 2024. It could also be something Microsoft or Spectrum did with their server settings on their end recently. I did note that the link to webmail.spectrum.net started working again. I'll leave that up to Microsoft and Spectrum to figure out.
I will say I'm not going to switch to the updated version of Outlook. Not sure if that could be a possible issue and personally I don't like the new look and features. I feel the classic version is easier to navigate. I hope this helps. good luck.
Hi Joe,
I have a similar problem. It started on Jan 23rd. My outlook stopped receiving email. When I tried to access it directly through Spectrums webmail.spectrum.net the web site gave me an error. When I contacted Spectrum, the gave me their general website spectrum.net and suggested I go to the Check Email tab. I've been checking my email like that ever since. They sent me the IMAP settings to use and they were are the settings I was currently using before my email stopped working. They said everything was correct on their side and it was a Microsoft issue. Microsoft is saying its a Spectrum issue.
Being a developer I have to agree with you. All things being equal ,I look at what has changed. At the moment the only thing that has changed is on Spectrums side with the elimination of their webmail server.
Unfortunately I think the real issue is getting enough people to complain so that Microsoft and/or Spectrum decide to connect to resolve the issue. Since the only way to communicate on Microsoft's end is through the community web site. I suggest people having this issue reach out to Spectrum and keep hammering them until action is taken. Its so disappointing when you pay a premium and get lack luster support. I would think that both Microsoft and Spectrum would be eager to collaborate to resolve the issue. Its not like were dealing with Billy Bob's software company and Johnny's email service.
I'm not convinced that Spectrum is motivated to resolving this issue, since they are no longer going to provide email as a service to new customers.
