Removing Copilot from Outlook email

UPDATE 28Apr2025: I renewed and changed my subscription to Microsoft Personal Classic and that *seemed* to eliminate Co-Pilot. For how long? Who knows? But at least now its no longer showing up on my emails. Thank you to everyone who shared my frustrations and who offered suggestions.

How do I remove Copilot from my Outlook email (and all other applications for that matter)? I have a 5 year old MacBook Pro. I use Outlook (Hotmail account) and all of a sudden CoPilot has appeared when I start writing or replying to emails. I do NOT want it. I do NOT need it. It is VERY distracting and I want to disable and/or remove it. Any advice would be most appreciated. I tried searching online but could not find a suitable answer. Thank you.

I do not know if I have the New or Legacy Outlook.

Same here. I've got the 365 subscription because sometimes I need to use Word or Excel, but mostly I just use my web based email. Started as Hotmail & followed along from there. I don't know how Microsoft is handling this. It happened to my email pretty recently. (The day I first posted to this.) When I came on here to find out what was going on and what to do about it, it looked like other people had been having the same issue for awhile. So maybe they aren't inflicting it on everyone at the same time?

For me is in both. I use mostly web based. It simply appeared in an unwanted "upgrade".

On the ribbon to the right.

No way to take out. Nowhere in privacy to know if it reads all last 20 years of emails to increase their AI base matrix. No control, lost sense of privacy.

I'm not sure everyone is dealing with the same thing. I have web based outlook, NOT installed Outlook product locally on my system. I do not have this option yet, for me. For the person who says it's in their environment, please confirm is this in the installed product or the web browser based product.

If the web based environment, how?

    Thanks.
